The Rating Policy Archive
In 2000 the former Northern Ireland Executive implemented a review of
rating policy in recognition of a view that the system was outdated and unfair.
This view was confirmed during the first public consultation exercise.
Since then work has been ongoing to implement changes to reform both the domestic and non-domestic sectors.
This archived website sets out the work to date and the changes to the
rating
system. The new domestic rating system came into operation on 1 April
2007.
